I saw Yoon on yoontube… sorry, youtube. I was immediately impressed. The clip showed him in the city centre of Perth and I was wondering, where the second guy playing is… He produces such a flood of sounds and rhythms and drums and voices: incredible. His great feeling of rhythem expresses itself in very esthetic body movement, too.

The variety of songs he produces ist huge. Crust Wave led me to the Titel: Samurang, which is the korean pendent to the Samurai – at least in a myth.

Then again he does soulful stuff like “Now here” on handpan, accompanying himself beat boxing.

He is a quite approachable guy and I would love to see him live once, ideally in Korea. If not the flight would be so expensive… maybe we get him to Europe as well. I think, it is really special to become a didgeridoo player of this quality in Korea, as the community there is probably rather small.
